In Microsoft Word, you can apply color to various elements like text, background, shapes, and more. Here's how you can use colors in different ways:
1. Text Color:
- To change the color of the text:
- Select the text you want to color.
- Go to the Home tab.
- Click on the Font Color icon (usually a letter "A" with a color bar below it).
- Choose from the available colors or click More Colors for additional options.
2. Highlight Color:
- To highlight text with a color (similar to using a physical highlighter):
- Select the text.
- On the Home tab, click the Text Highlight Color icon (it looks like a marker).
- Choose the highlight color.
3. Background/Page Color:
- To change the background color of the entire document (this won't print, it's just for display):
- Go to the Design tab.
- Click Page Color.
- Select a color from the dropdown.
4. Table Cell or Shape Fill Color:
- To change the background color of table cells or shapes:
- Select the table cell(s) or shape.
